Afrojack is one of the most innovative and sought-after artists in the world. As a producer, songwriter and DJ, he’s won a Grammy Award, as he keeps on leading music into bold new directions.
Since his breakthrough, with the multi-platinum-selling single ‘Take Over Control’, the Dutch-born genre-bending musician has lent his production skills to countless tracks, including David Guetta’s number one smash ‘Titanium (feat. Sia)’, and co-created major hits for artists such as Beyoncé, Pitbull, and will.i.am.
2017 was, for Afrojack, an electrifying year. Alongside David Guetta, Charli XCX and French Montana, “Dirty Sexy Money” had an amazing kickoff.
In 2017, he undertook a record-breaking 8 shows at Tomorrowland, and also performed for over 50,000 people on the main stage of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.
Afrojack’s set lists are ever-evolving, constantly refreshed and adding into the mix a seemingly endless supply of new hits that he churns out year after year. In the second half of 2017 alone, he released ‘No Tomorrow’, featuring hip hop heavyweights Belly, O.T. Genasis and Ricky Breaker; ‘Keep It Low’ featuring Mightyfools; ‘Hands Up’ with Hardwell featuring MC Ambush; the remix of Major Lazer’s ‘Know No Better’ and the star-studded ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ with David Guetta, Charli XCX and French Montana.
Afrojack has devoted the past few years to develop Wall Recordings, a record label he launched in 2007 to release his own music, which is dedicated to cultivating the careers of leading-edge electronic artists and producers, such as up-and-coming singer/songwriter Fais, who struck gold with the early-2016 release of ‘Hey’, a collaboration with Afrojack himself.
In the last two years, Afrojack was named one of the 50 Most Important People in EDM by Rolling Stone and placed on the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list, also receiving a stamp in his likeness in the Netherlands and becoming the second DJ ever to cement his hands into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Afrojack continues to make new records and hit new heights.
